Kris Fleerackers

Fallada Puppetworks is a puppetry and object theatre company created by Kris Fleerackers. Each show has its own unique concept and look, for which he builds or gathers the kind of object actors it needs, combining his interest in traditional techniques with a love of experimentation and bush mechanic problem solving. Kris believes that puppetry gives people a chance to reconnect with the simple, low-tech magic that has allowed humans, since time immemorial, to bring stories to life.

Kris Fleerackers is a puppeteer, puppet builder, performer, director and filmmaker with plenty of experience in television production and theatre. Originally from Antwerp, Belgium, he lives and works on the territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation, on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada.
